These tired looking hands belong to my mother’s mother. I photographed her hands because I believe they serve as reminder to her regarding all the hardships from her past. When I think about her, I think about her hard-worked and worn manitas. Manitas means hands in Spanish.

I thought the color of her skin was odd in the snapshot. It’s a bight brown, almost orange.
